Instructor: Kathleen Jackson
Learn to work with vibrantly dyed soft merino wool fibers to make felted soap and a lovely and warm winter scarf! Learn all about which wools are best suited to different types of feltmaking projects, how to use warm soapy water and some bubble wrap to tangle wool fibers on purpose, how to layer colors for interesting effects, and how to take simple materials and transform them into wearable art. You will leave this workshop with a scarf, felted soap for home or to give as a gift, and the knowledge to continue on your own. All levels of felters are welcome; upper body strength and stamina are helpful.
